Here is 2010 Shedule so you have an idea what Bear Boot Camp is about!

Each year this Schedule changes to mix things up.

This years 2011 schedule will be email/mailed to each 2011 recruits before Camp starts.

2010 SCHEDULE AND TIMES

RULES: After midnight the Bear-racks First floor is a QUIET sound area, and the second floor is MEDIUM sound area.

Alcohol is only permitted inside the barracks building and USO. NO open containers or drinking of the good stuff outside.

Bear-racks party each night so HOST AN OPEN ROOM PARTY! Have fun and go nuts bring your own bar set up (including beverages, mixers, ice, napkins, paper cups, etc.). Do a theme or do games, whatever! Just don’t hurt anyone and NO flames/candles. Smoking outside only, the smoke detectors will alarm at ANYthing you light inside.

FRIDAY:

4:00 PM Arrive at the 202 Bear-racks anytime after 4 PM. Open time. Meet bears, unpack etc. 202 DW lobby corkboard will have your room information if you forgot to bring your Conformation info. Right turn at the third street after you enter Fort Worden.

6:00 pm to 7:45 PM Registration and Box Dinner in 204 UN Meet n greet, plus bring your favorite board games, cards, Pictionary, Twister, puzzles, or whatever. See map on 202 Corkboards or follow the bears to 204 UN. There is an elevator to the second floor. Iced Water and pop provided. BYOB alcohol is great!

7:45pm please gather at the 204 UN. We need you there on time for the intro, info and group activity, thanks!

8:00 PM to 9:00 PM Orientation and Basic training in 204 UN: ALCOHOL BYOB IS OK in the Bear Den meeting room. Please join us and do not be late!

9:00 PM à Open Bear time at 202 BEAR-RACKS. We go back to the Bearracks for HOST AN OPEN ROOM PARTY (you host), board games, cards, drinks and general fun. Ideas: Bear twister, Board games, puzzles, cards, Pictionary, or walk around the park (need flashlight).

SATURDAY:

8:30 AM Breakfast at the USO

9:30 AM - 11:30 AM Group Gathering in 204 UN Surprise activity! Prizes awarded.

12:00 PM Lunch in 204 UN: Majestic Buzzard Road Kill Chili

1:30 PM Group walking tour through the dark bunkers! A self guided activity. This is where you need your flashlights and cameras too! We leave from the 202 DW lobby. We will walk as a group up to Artillery Hill’s first main bunkers (60 minute plus around trip). Take another quick group picture and head to base. Map of the Artillery Hill will be handed out. Optional: after the group picture, If anyone wants to walk the complete hill it is a 3 plus hour around trip. Please take a map!

5:00 PM Cocktail hour BYOB in 202 DW! In Bear-racks downstairs West meeting area. We provide some mixers, small cups, lot of ice, water and pop. You provide the tasty Alcohol or brew!

5:50 PM Group Picture in camo-dress 202 DW outside / inside depending on weather.

6:00 PM Dinner: Military / camo-dress at the USO. Wear a Green t-shirt to camo-fatigues, boots, etc! After dinner on we go back to the Bear-racks for the dance

7:00 PM Under-bear boxer/sock hop Dance in 202 – all music requested by you on registration form! The cocktail room and BYOB bar will still be set up for drinks during the dance.

ALCOHOL BYOB, WATER AND POP PROVIDED.

NOTE: Not naked sorry. Think boxer / briefs sock hop with optional t-shirt/tank top.

9:00 PM à Open Bear time at BEAR-RACKS. HOST AN OPEN ROOM PARTY (you host) try board games, cards, drinks and general fun. Ideas: dark lights, massage table, cards, special mixed drinks, comedy CD, music, casino, Bear twister, Board games, puzzles, Pictionary, etc. Or walk around the park (need flashlight).

SUNDAY:

8:30 AM Breakfast at the Dining Hall! yes we finally get into the Dinning Hall. Sorry this is the latest I could do it this year.

9:15 AM Relax in the Bearracks 202: Pack, clean you area, talk, play cards-games, one more time in the RnR room, etc

10:00 AM Hand in keys the 202 DW lobby

10:45 AM Finish packing up to your car/ride and please clean up your Bearracks area.

11:00 AM Check out time Sunday is firm - 11am. A half-day's fee per person will be added for late check-outs (11:30 AM on).

A full day fee per person will be charged after 2 p.m.
